The Black & White series explores the power of contrast, rhythm, and texture through a monochromatic visual language. Using acrylic paint, marble dust, modeling paste, and resin, Villasierra creates layered compositions where form and movement emerge from the interplay of light and shadow.
These works strip color away to reveal the raw structure of the artist’s process: traces of instruments, geometric fragments, symbolic numbers, and expressive gestures. The absence of color heightens the presence of texture, allowing each surface to speak with clarity and depth.
In Black & White, music becomes silence, and silence becomes a visual landscape filled with subtle vibration.
